The MQ-9 Reaper is a medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial system designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and precision strike missions.
It can fly at altitudes up to 50,000 feet with an endurance of roughly 27 hours, depending on payload. Powered by a turboprop engine, the Reaper carries advanced sensors, including electro-optical/infrared cameras and synthetic aperture radar. It is armed with precision-guided munitions such as Hellfire missiles and GBU-12 bombs. Operated remotely via satellite link, it provides persistent overwatch and rapid strike capability in contested and permissive environments.
