26th MEU (SOC)

The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) provides the Marine Corps a robust capability that can be deployed quickly to respond to international crisis. When deployed, the 26th MEU (SOC) would usually be part of an Amphibious Ready Group (ARG). One of the ships it would embark on would be an amphibious assault ship like the one pictured below.
