In December 2025, the US Coast Guard attempted to board the Bella 1 oil tanker that was a sanctioned crude oil tanker. The vessel manage to evade for several weeks. Its movement from the Caribbean to the North Atlantic . . . and beyond has been the subject of heavy press coverage as well as speculation about a possible seizure by U.S. miltiary forces.
